Kris Kringle's Jingle Hot Buttered Rum

This is a great winter treat even without the rum.

Description: Celebrate the Season with Kris Kringle’s Jingle
Fill mug ¾ full with Tree Top Spiced Cider
Add 1 heaping Tablespoon of mix
Heat until steaming
Top with 1 ounce light rum, stir and enjoy.
Keep Mix Refrigerated!

Ingredients

Servings: 18-20 mugs
  • Tree Top Spiced Cider (or Cider but add more spice)
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine softened
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • pinch salt
  • light rum
  • Use whipped cream or ice cream to topping if desired
  • Cinnamon stick for decor

Directions

Mix all ingredients until well blended and store in the refrigerator when not using as follows: Fill mug 3/4 full with cider and add 1 heaping tablespoon of mix. Heat until steaming (usually 2 mins. in microwave). Add 1/2-1 ounce rum and stir. Great without topping, but a dollop of whipped cream or ice cream, sprinkled with nutmeg and topped with a cinnamon stick, make this a very special treat. Hold the rum for a great family treat for all ages!
