Quick Gingerbread
Apple sauce makes it moist and delicious; a mix makes it quick.
- 1 package (14.5 oz.) gingerbread mix
- 1 1/2 cups Tree Top Apple Sauce
Combine gingerbread mix and apple sauce until well blended.
Pour into microwave-safe 8 inch square pan. Microwave at
HIGH (100 percent) 6 to 7 minutes, turning 1/4 turn after three
minutes. Top looks dry and will spring back when lightly touched.
Cool; cut into squares. Makes 16 to 20 squares.
Conventional Method: Combine gingerbread mix and apple sauce in
9in square ungreased baking pan. Stir vigorously with fork about
2 minutes until uniform in color and consistency; spread evenly in pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F 30 to 35 minutes or until wooden pick comes out clean.
