Pork Chops and Apple Rice
- 3 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 4 medium size pork chops
- One 6 oz. package Long Grain and Wild Rice Mix
- 1 1/3 cups water
- 1 cup (8 oz.) Tree Top Apple Juice, thawed
- 1 tbsp. butter
Heat vegetable oil in a large heavy frying pan over high
heat. Brown pork chops, one at a time, remove from pan and
set aside while preparing rice. Add water, apple juice concentrate,
butter and contents of rice mix to frying pan. Bring mixture to
a boil, stirring to blend. Reduce heat to simmer, return pork chops
to pan and cover. Cook for 25 minutes or until all moisture is
absorbed. Serves 4.
