Spinach Salad with Warm Apple Sauce Dressing Apple sauce is the secret ingredient in this dressing that is the perfect compliment to spinach salad. 6 cups torn fresh spinach 2 cups shredded cooked chicken 1 cup sliced mushrooms 1 cup sliced onion rings 6 slices bacon, diced 1 cup Tree Top Apple Sauce 1 tbsp. cider vinegar 1 tbsp. dry mustard Salt and Pepper Toss spinach, chicken, mushrooms and onion in salad bowl; set aside. Pan-fry bacon until crisp; remove all but 2 tbsp. bacon grease. Stir in Tree Top apple sauce, vinegar, and mustard; bring to a boil. Season to taste. Pour over spinach mixture and toss just before serving. Makes 4 servings.
