Apple Sauce Custard Pie

  • 1 pastry (already made) for 9" pie crust
  • 1/2 C granulated sugar = 97 g
  • 1 1/2 C Tree Top Apple Sauce = 298 g
  • 1 tsp cinnamon = 2.6g
  • 3 eggs, beaten= 150 g
  • 1/4 tsp salt = 1.9 g
  • 1/2 C skim milk = 117 g (4 oz)

Line pie dish with pastry. Stir sugar into apple sauce in a bowl. Add cinnamon. Beat eggs well; add to apple sauce. Stir in salt and milk. Mix until well blended. Pour into crust. Bake for 10 minutes at 450. Reduce heat and bake about about 35 minutes at 350. Cool before cutting. (Makes 8 servings).
