
Apple Barbeque Sauce
This BBQ sauce can be used with pork or chicken as well as beef.
Ingredients
- 1 medium onion finely chopped
- 3 cups Tree Top 100% Apple Juice
- 1 cup Tree Top Natural Apple Sauce
- ½ cup cider vinegar
- ½ cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
- 1 tbs. ground mustard powder
- 1 tsp. celery salt
- 1 tbs. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbs. Liquid Smoke
- 2 12 oz. bottles chili sauce
- hot pepper sauce to taste
Instructions
- Bring all ingredients to a boil in a large saucepan. Reduce heat and simmer until sauce is thickened and volume is reduced in half. Pour barbeque sauce into sterilized 8 oz. canning jars. Seal with 2 piece sterilized lids. Boiling water bath for 10 minutes. Remove with tongs and cool. Unsealed jars may be stored in refrigerator for up to two weeks.
