Apple Strawberry Apple Sauce Cake Squares

Ingredients

Cake

1¾ cups sugar
1½ cups Tree Top Strawberry Apple Sauce
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 cups flour
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 cup apples peeled and chopped

Cream Cheese Icing

2 lbs. powered sugar
8 oz. softened cream cheese
1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease 9x13 inch pan. Mix together all ingredients by hand. DO NOT USE MIXER. Pour into prepared pan and bake in preheated oven for 40-50 minutes. Cool and ice with cream cheese icing. Cut into squares. For the cream cheese icing: mix powered sugar and cream cheese together with a mixer. Blend well, add vanilla. If icing is too thick, add drops of water 2-3 at a time until desired consistency. Frost cake and cut into squares.
