Easy Apple Butter
A tasty breakfast spread. Just like your Grandma used to make! Apple butter is an excellent accompaniment for roast pork.
Ingredients
- 5 cups Tree Top or Seneca Apple Sauce
- ½ cup Tree Top 100% Apple Juice
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 ½ tsp. ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp. ground allspice
- ¾ tsp. ground cloves
- ½ tsp. ground nutmeg
Instructions
- Mix apple sauce, brown sugar, apple cider, and spices together. Pour mixture into a 5 quart crock pot. Turn crock pot on high and cook for 4 hours. Stir mixture and reduce heat to medium, cook additional 10 to 12 hours until mixture boils down in half. Ladle into sterilized jars and seal with two piece lids. Boil in boiling water bath for 10 minutes. Store any opened jars in the refrigerator.

Serve on toast, bagels or English muffins.
