
Low-Fat Banana Muffins
Delicious and low in fat!
Apple sauce makes an excellent oil replacement to give you a low fat alternative.
Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 ½ cups Tree Top Apple Sauce
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 egg whites
- 6 medium ripe bananas mashed (about 3 cups)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cloves and cinnamon. In a separate bowl combine remaining ingredients; stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Coat muffin cups with non-stick cooking spray or use paper liners; fill cups ⅔ full. Bake at 350°F. for 20-25 minutes or until muffins test done. Cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing to wire rack.
